"Last November I was fortunate enough to travel down to Virginia to attend Michael and Carina's 'The Little Workshop' and honestly, it was pretty amazing. I was at a point in my business where I knew what I wanted my pictures to look like and I knew what my pictures ACTUALLY looked like...and believe me, they weren't anywhere close to each other. I was really struggling as to what I was going to do in the future. I wanted to shoot weddings, I wanted that gorgeous light and airy look that I was seeing all over blogs and in magazines, but I wasn't sure how I could push myself to get to that level. I was becoming complacent with being mediocre. I was a busy mom to a super involved 9 year old, a full time corporate accountant at a job that took most of my time, and I just didn't have the drive to put into pushing myself with my own business.
Than I went down to the workshop. I listened to Michael talk with such passion about his business and how he and Carina got where they were. I watched Carina shoot with such ease and heart, meticulously eyeing everything so perfectly, getting super excited if we styled a shot "just right". It was incredibly inspiring. I learned important details about growing my business and the biggest part of the weekend, I shot the entire weekend in ONLY film! It was amazing!
After two days of learning, shooting and community, it was time to come home. I felt rejuvenated about my business. I knew how to get to the level I wanted to and was no longer afraid to push myself. And I did! I went from have 2 weddings to shoot in 2016 to having 13 and hiring an Associate! I still have a lot of learning to do to be a Fine Art Hybrid Shooter, but now I I feel like I can do this. This can be my full time job one day, letting go of my corporate handcuff's, and feeling fulfilled in the stories I create for my clients. Thank you Michael and Carina! You Little Workshop changed my life in a Big way."
